Yuuki Nishihara is a famous custom guitar builder in Japan. A few years ago he started making ukuleles under the name Lotus Acoustics and our friends in Japan at Basis Records turned us onto his fantastic work. Lotus customs are always fantastic but this is one is exceptional. We'll start with a "raw" sound sample from Tobias and then go over some of the features on this beautiful tenor.
Pictures and video show the exact ukulele now available here.

This tenor has a Swiss Moon Spruce top. Harvested at night, based on the cycles of the Moon, this European Spruce variation is a wonderful in-between of Sitka and Adirondack, offering a bright tone with excellent clarity. This beautiful piece actually has some Bear Claw figuring.
The strikingly attractive sides and back are Brazilian Tulipwood (Dalbergia decipularis). This is an exotic rosewood and the tonal character was described on the Tonewood Database as "Loud, warm and good separation of notes. Strong bass, rich overtones, and a sustained resonance."
This instrument is finished in a glassy nitrocellulose gloss finish. Other features include a side sound port, beautiful wood and shell rosette, and full ebony bindings and purfling.
This custom tenor has easy low action and a crystal clear tone with great projection. Includes case and humidifier.
