This is the classic gloss koa tenor from Kanile'a but with an ebony fretboard and sand inlay which really compliments the gorgeous Koa body and faceplate. There is a lot of beauty in this wood, as you turn it in the light, pictures won't do it justice. But these pictures are of the exact ukulele available here, if it says "In Stock".
This new version of the K-1 T is the K-1 TE. The E stands for ebony as it has ebony wood for the bridge and fretboard instead of rosewood like the normal 1 series from Kanile'a. This also makes the new E models available for international shipping given the new restrictions on rosewood. It also has Kailua beach sand for the logo and fretboard maker inlays. Something they previously only did on special models. Very natural and attractive.

For many of our customers this model has been just what they wanted. A pro level tenor uke that with lively sounds and gorgeous looks! A lifetime instrument from Hawaii. The brand new K1-TE from the Kanile'a Ukulele Company is all those things and would make an excellent choice for your next ukulele. The first video was with the stock Aquila high G set. This video shows it with a Ko'olau Fluorocarbon set with the Fremont soloist low G.
This uke is a lot of fun and incredibly gorgeous. Koa like this is a treat to admire. There's so much character and depth. And Kanile'a builds for those qualities in it's tone as well with it's unique T.R.U. bracing system. What you get is a light weight, resonant tenor, professionally made on Oahu with the finest Big Island koa, and protected with a smooth glossy finish. This an incredible value in a classic Hawaiian tenor!
