Gorgeous Exotic Rosewood - The Finest Western Red Cedar -Beautiful Koa Wood Binding and a Venetian Cutaway Body -The New RTC-C-

This is not the most expensive ukulele you will find, but it could be the best tone, feel, and look at this price range. I have this exact model myself and I would put it up against any ukulele out there.

The RT model Pono Pro Classic has a serious tone with excellent depth and clarity. This flagship to the Pono line is a more affordable version of the Ko'olau deluxe, yet the craftsmanship is on par with the finest musical instruments being made.

Unprocessed or "dry" sound sample from Corey-

This model, like all new Pro Classics from Pono has a radius fingerboard. It's hardly noticeable, but it surely adds to the comfort of play. This slight curve allows for low action and plays like a dream.

    Comes with Hardshell Case.

The precision workmanship, attention to detail as well as skill level of Pono's top builders is among the best in the world. Experience the New Pono!

Pono only uses solid woods, only bone nut and saddle. wood bindings, no plastics.  They have a climate controled factory on the island of Java and diligently aim for perfection on every level. It shows!

    Comes with Hardshell Case.

One of the options for this ukulele is to trade out the Herco, included humidifier, for the more expensive Oasis Ukulele Humidifier (OH-18). This is suggested if you live in a low humidity area.(parts of California, Nevada, Arizona, etc..) or also areas with winter seasons, especially if you are heating the air most of the day and night. really nice uke
Recently purchased this uke--a terrific uke at a relatively low price for an instrument of this quality. Pono's sound good and are easy to play. The LR Baggs 5.0 is amazingly good too. It is likely my personal problem but I could not get myself to drill a hole in the other good ukes I have--it seemed like sacrilege. The Pono I could.

The HMS crew are great to deal with and know what they are doing. If you are past the beginner stage of determining whether you are really going to play the uke, highly recommend getting a higher quality (more expensive) uke--It makes a world of difference in your playing--the more expensive ukes sound way better and are easier to play. The Pono's are a nice starting point and a great value for the money--not exactly what I did but what I recommend . Each good musical instruments is unique and as far as I am concerned you cannot have too many good instruments. If you love music, life is too short not to have good professional level instruments .
