Product Review (submitted on August 9, 2019):

Very satisfied with this Uke, Pono At Acacia Tenor. No Pono's where I live (Denver), so I couldn't compare mahagony or mango versions. Mine came with free hard case for $399, which is pretty amazing. I have a 2011 Ko'olau KC Concert (basic model) satin finish and I must say the workmanship on the Pono is probably even better, if you can believe it. I had the Pono AT strung with low G (wound metal G&C), but didn't like the squeek so changed to Fremont "soloist" polished low G string and a flurocarbon (Oasis) C string. I got this Tenor to play around with low G and am loving it. If you change the strings on low G don't forget, low-G note is G3: 196hz. A high-g is G4: 392hz. The volume might not be as loud as say a KoAloha, but I don't see how the sustain could be any better. If you're looking for a daily player for low money, this Uke can't be beat, especially with the Hawaii Music Supply spot on full set up. So in summary, maybe not the prettiest or loudest Ukulele, but for the money I really don't see how there can be any regrets. I love this Ukulele!!! Just get it and take the extra time to get full set
