I have "a few" ukuleles at my home. UAS is in residence here! I didn't have an electric uke and fell in lust with the acacia version of this instrument when a member of the ukulele group I play with, brought one in one day. I loved everything about his ukulele except for the acacia back and sides. Don't get me wrong here, they were beautiful, just not my taste. I wanted one...badly, acacia be damned!! I just didn't want to be a "copy cat' with my uke. He and I play in two different groups and this ukulele fits right in with both. Our other group is a veterans' rock band kind of thing. We're a bunch of senior veterans who always wanted to be rockers, and so (at least in our minds) we are. There are a couple of songs that elude me when I pick up my guitar. Now, I have that wicked little Kala that I can plug in and fill the musical gap. At first I was a wee bit disappointed that the ziricote had no blonde streaks in it. But the more I looked at it, I fell in love with the deep, rich brown color. It goes perfectly with the cedar. It came to me set up perfectly (as always), and ready to play right out of the box. I lead the songs with the ukulele group and this cool uke helps me be heard. I cant say enough good about this ukulele. Okay. Enough. I'm pau.
