I currently have 3 Kala Ukes, all either totally solid or solid top and all were set up by Joel with Aquila Nylgut Strings.

I like the Aquilas a LOT, but I've read so many reviews about Worth Strings I had to give them a try.

I can't really say that one is better than the other - I think it's all a matter of preference. I prefer a mellower sound, but not so mellow that you can't hear it. So I thought I'd try the BMs out on my solid cedartop, and it worked! I probably wouldn't use them on my acacia because the sound is already mellow enough. Probably would be good on a spruce top, too, where the sound is normally brighter.

As mentioned in other reviews, you get enough to srring 2 ukes, so the value for the money is actually excellent!

Will I replace all of my Aquilas with Worths? Probably not, because I like them both and it really depends on what kind of sound I'm going for at the moment.
