This is my first solid wood ukulele, having upgraded from an inexpensive laminate pineapple soprano. This Pono ukulele is gorgeous - the sound, wood grain, and finish are impressive. It has a great warm, mellow tone (with Ko'olai Alohi strings). The setup was good and Andrew from HMS was great to deal with.
