Nice collection of songs 0 people found this helpfulThis book has a nice selection of songs, and the photos scattered throughout the book are a nice touch. Like all books from Jumpin' Jim, there aren't tabs, so you have to work out the notes yourself. For a beginner this is a mixed blessing, it's more work, but I'm relearning how to read music which is better in the long run. My only real complaint about the books is that some of the notes can't be played on a standard Hi-G tuned uke because they contain a low B. For strumming however the songs are great.

Be Sure to Check the Song List 0 people found this helpfulThis is a fun collection of songs from the 60s. The style is typical of the Jumpin' Jim's song book series, presenting the melody line, lyrics, and chords, along with some minimal play tips (chord charts, guide to transposing, etc.). The song selection is rather heavy on the Beatles. There are a few songs that don't really fit with the flower power, love-in style cover design, e.g., Moon River and King of the Road. Note that most, but not all, of the songs in the book also are in the much larger Daily Ukulele songbook, also from Jumpin' Jim Beloff. The songs: All My Loving Build Me Up, Buttercup Daydream Daydream Believer Eight Days A Week Georgy Girl The Girl From Ipanema (Garôta De Ipanema) Happy Together Here Comes The Sun I Will King Of The Road Mellow Yellow Michelle Moon River Penny Lane Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head (Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay Something Surfer Girl Those Were The Days Tip-Toe Thru' The Tulips With Me Under The Boardwalk When I'm Sixty-Four With A Little Help From My Friends Yellow Submarine
