Pictures show the exact ukulele available here.

Features include a perfectly quarter sawn Honduran mahogany body and neck, wood bindings, abalone rosette, a radius fretboard for a great feel, and includes the Pono arched top wooden hard case. The build quality is unparalleled in this price range and the voicing has just the right balance of warmth and clarity. Kris samples it with the stock Ko'olau Alohi High G set. This uke also sounds great with a Low G and you can choose that in the options at no extra charge.

The precision workmanship, attention to detail as well as skill level of Pono's top builders is among the best in the world. Experience the New Pono!

This tenor is displayed and protected by the cleanest gloss finish yet from Pono. This glassy lacquer finish is extremely strong yet just a few thousandths of an inch thick. This is the art of uninhibited protection. And they are continually improving their design. Some of the recent changes include finishing the neck and body separate for a more perfect neck joint. They also started making the necks on these models a satin finish with the body and faceplate being gloss. This gives your hand smooth sliding on the neck while still showing off the instrument in a beautiful gloss finish.

Pono only uses solid woods, only bone nut, and saddle. wood bindings, no plastics.  They have a climate-controlled factory on the island of Java and diligently aim for perfection on every level. It shows!

This model has classic tonewoods and has great projection. If you're looking for a great tenor ukulele in this price range then this model gets our top recommendations. Comes with Hardshell Case.

A Fine Solid Body Mahogany Tenor
I purchased this ukulele last summer. HMS sent it via FED EX and it arrived on time and carefully boxed for shipping to the Seattle area.
The Koolau/Pono hard case was impressive and of high quality. The first site of this fine crafted solid mahogany tenor ukulele created a sense of joy, wonder, and optimism. I knew this uke was going to accelerate my playing up to the next level!
This uke has great midtones, sustain, and intonation. The Koolau high G strings sound great now. These are higher tension strings, however, so it took a while to break them in. Additionally, they are more sensitive to ambient temperature changes.
The high gloss mahogany, the Abalone rosette, Pearl dotted fret markers, and the Ebony purfling, give this uke an outstanding look and value.
I plan on another ukulele purchase soon from HMS! I may be afflicted with "UAS", i.e. Ukulele Acquisition Syndrome.
Aloha from the Great Pacific Northwest
