This tenor is brand new from northern California luthier Dave Sigman. Dave is one of the most talented luthiers making ukes and it's always a pleasure to showcase his creative and musical instruments.
This one features a gorgeous super curly Hawaiian koa body with a heart shaped sound hole and abalone rosette and top purfling. It's accented with a different Hawaiian wood, kiawe, for the fingerboard and bridge. The body, fretboard and headstock are bound with faux tortoise shell binding and the headstock has an abalone inlay of a great word, Aloha! Dave does all of his inlays by hand and he is amazingly accurate with all of his lines.
This ukulele plays so easy and has a warm clear tone. Take a listen as Corey gives us a raw sound sample.
The finish is a semi-gloss lacquer and feels wonderful, very smooth and professionally done.
"Every piece of wood for my ukuleles is carefully selected, and each instrument is constructed with an unwavering approach to the highest quality, and with a deep spirit of Aloha. I personally build each ukulele, one at a time, in my workshop located in Little River, on the beautiful Mendocino Coast of Northern California." -- Dave Sigman
