    The KoAloha Longneck Soprano!!

Pictures show the instrument now available! This is the new 2018 model with upgraded ebony appointments, abalone inlays, and a smooth gloss finish.

This is a new Koa ukulele made 100% right here in Hawaii. It is a soprano or standard size body with a concert-length neck. What you get in sound is somewhere in between the soprano and concert. The scale length being concert gives a slightly higher tension and brighter sound. Yet it still has that punchiness in the midrange that their soprano body gives. This adds a bit more balance and projection from the regular soprano and a smaller size than the concert option. It fits into a UkeCrazy soprano case that it comes with. It also fits the Oahu soprano case you can upgrade to on this page.

We are selling this model with a hardcase and humidifier included!

    Setup Options

Most people shop with us because of the extensive quality control and final setup work we provide at no extra cost on all ukuleles we ship out. However this is time consuming work and creates a delay in shipping. We are now offering an "Expedited Setup" for those wanting to receive their instrument faster. See details on the Full Setup and Expedited Setup options along with current turnaround times for each at the link- HERE.

    Extra Options

One of the options for this ukulele is to trade out the Herco HE-360 included humidifier for the more expensive Oasis Ukulele Humidifier (OH-18 or OH-5+) at a discount. This is required if you live in a low humidity area (parts of California, Nevada, Arizona, etc.) or also areas with winter seasons, especially if you heat the air in your house. For more info refer to the Ukulele Care link at the bottom of this page. If you think you need to humidify the instrument, then you also need a hard case for a humidifier to properly work, and you need to maintain the humidifier by refilling it as needed.

After adding this instrument to your cart, you can still create your own package by adding a case or accessories from the website.

Under the Accessories tab you can also customize this instrument by adding strap button(s) or your choice of pickup for plugging in. We recommend either the MiSi or the LR Baggs pickup for this ukulele.

Get a free shipping quote by adding this to your cart. If your cart reaches $400 dollars or more, orders to the US will receive free UPS 2 day shipping. Two days is the time in transit. Your instrument will first go through our setup department so that you get the best instrument for your money. For more information on our setup process, turnaround time, shipping, and return policies, refer to the links below in our footer.

Put a note in the Special Instructions if would like to let our setup or shipping department know anything.

    Love this Uke
I've had my longneck for about a week. Ordered on Monday and by Friday it was sitting in my lining room. The finish could be a little better. The scallop at the bottom of the fretboard was just raw wood with no lacquer which was surprising. But it plays and sounds like a dream. HMS set it up well and was in tune when I received it!

This one they will have to pry from my cold dead hands...
I happen to love the soprano body/concert scale neck format and the choices in that field are pretty limited. Outside of a custom "luthier-built" model I think KoAloha does it better than anyone. In fact, KoAloha may do the soprano body better than any of the production ukes - they are crazy-loud and have a very "open" sound that I really like.

This is my second KoAloha - I owned a KoAloha concert when I bought the longneck. Once I decided that I definitely prefered the soprano body I sold the concert.

Both of my KoAlohas were set up perfectly at the nut though the bridge saddle was rather high - not unplayably so by any means but higher than I've seen on most ukes. Since I like low actions I just took the saddles down some. I understand why the factory ships them this way - it is certainly easier to lower the action than raise it!

If there was one thing I would change about the KoAloha longneck soprano it is that I would like to see the neck a little wider, with a couple more mm of space between the strings.

    KoAloha is awesome!!!! :)
This is a must have. This brand is also known for having the best ukuleles and sound. The best part is that the long neck lets you play chords that others may not be able to with other ukuleles because there isn't enough frets. I personally just love the KoAloha because its easy on my fingers to play, very smooth when strumming, and the sound is just beautiful. I recommend this ukulele and it's worth it.

    You won't be disappointed!
First off, this guy is LOUD. Much louder than anything else I have. This is also perfect for people who really like the soprano body, but don't like being restricted to 12 or 14 frets. This has become my go-to-uke!

    Cream of the crop
This was my first all-solid Hawaiian built ukulele but not the first I had played but it was and still is the finest by quite some distance. The sound that came from the small body of this uke was astounding to me the first time I strummed it, I knew Koaloha's were loud but nothing prepared me for just how loud. The word that kept coming to me when trying to describe the actual tone of this ukulele was crisp. It has a bite to the notes and while I know sound is a very subjective thing, I struggle to imagine a nicer one! Excellent high gloss finish which is my preference, immaculate construction and lovely grain to the koa. The tuners took a bit of getting used to for me, being primarily a guitarist and these being the first friction pegs I'd used but once I did it was fine, in fact the uke stays in tune remarkably well and for days at a time quite often which really surprised me. All in all, I would definitely recommend this uke and would buy a Koaloha again. A+
