A Truly Unique Hawaiian Made Koa Tenor Ukulele - Pictured Available

This Tenor ukulele is not for the weak at heart. This ukulele has heaps of vibrant energy! The shape, or design, and the tone as well as the projection all make this an exciting custom ukulele to experience!

(we thought we would not have another of this model for a long time but this one was hiding in our backroom! And it's Amazing!!)

The Sceptre was not created in a board room. It is far too creative for that. In fact it was not even designed in the work shop while trying to think up a new design or shape. The Sceptre was a vision give to Alvin Okami. When people have a vision, if they are not able to replicate or produce it on paper, or craft it into reality, then it is simply a hallucination to be disregarded. Mr. Okami is a true artist because he brought this vision to life, exactly as he had imagined! The Sceptre was the original “Signature Series” from Alvin Okami and is an incredible Modern Hawaiian Original.

Beyond the unique and beautiful looks of the Sceptre is an undeniable voice. It has a quick attack and a bright, yet full sound that amazes those that play it. Here is what KoAloha says about this ground-breaking model- “The Sceptre Tenor is the culmination of divine intervention. Alvin “Papa KoAloha” Okami has created this masterpiece with it’s unique KoAloha Crown shape. Handcrafted with the utmost care, this Sceptre features a booming sound unlike any ukulele ever built. Available in limited quantities.”

We at Hawaii Music Supply feel lucky to be able to offer you a great deal on this custom ukulele.Aaron, Joel, Zach, Mike and I are all very impressed with this instrument. We are sure you will be also!

We are selling this model with a Hard Case and Humidifier included!

One of the options for this ukulele is to trade out the Herco, included humidifier, for the more expensive Oasis Ukulele Humidifier (OH-18). This is suggested if you live in a low humidity area.(parts of California, Nevada, Arizona, etc..) including cold winter areas if you are heating the air most of the day and night. For more info see our Ukulele Care link at the bottom of the site

None of these options are required. You can still create a package with accessories on the site by going to different product pages and adding to cart.

This ukulele will automatically come with a Canvas Covered Hard Case and a Herco HE-360 Humidifier. The options are just for convenience and to offer an extra discount while you buy such a beautiful instrument.

This ukulele comes from the factory with a set of Worth Low G CT-LG. It is a plain nylon low G string set. If you prefer a certain string set that the ukulele does not come with, then buy the strings you want from strings section of the site, and let us know (under Special Instructions) you want those on the uke. If you simply want your instrument to be a high g instead of a low, it is no extra charge. You can specifiy in Special instructions below. If you are not sure, then check out this video blog - Comparing Hi G with Low G

With the purchase this ukulele the L.R.Baggs active 5.0 ukulele pickup system is available to be installed. We found this to be the best pickup for this ukulele (KoAloha agrees).

Great design and sound
I told my uke-buddies that I only need one ukulele and I bought myself a brand new, the best-of-best a KoAloha SlimBody Tenor with LR Baggs ver5.0 pickup and matched with a 30 watts Fender MustangII amp. I have been playing my Slimbody tenor for two years now, but I keep seeing pictures of Koaloha Sceptre on the internet with good reviews. I finally decide last month to buy a KoAloha Tenor Sceptre with the help of Duane Wong of MusicWorks store in El Cerrito California and phone conversation with Brian from KoAloha company. Brian suggested LR Baggs ver5.0 for pickup and with his help I got my gorgeous Tenor Sceptre within 3 weeks. I am very happy with services I received from both stores.

Papa's Gift
This must be the most outrages design that breaks mental barriers for superb acoustic reproduction from an uncanny spiked shaped wood box. This model transcend a gifted man's dream to a reality that not only performs but outperforms many genres in its class. Super playability, astounding sound and superb projection makes this one of a kind that naturally stands out from the crowd and a talking point. Be warned, that if you take it to a group session, this centre of attraction will steal the limelight away no matter how good the group performs. Spectacular visual equalled by an exceptional volume. The stronger you strum the better the sound. Just Wow. This was a birthday giift for me last year and Papa personally signed an autograph dedication. Just Wow Wow.

This is my fourth review. The other three are EL Woodworks Pineapple, Anaole Koa Tenor, Aquila Low G new formula and this Koaloha Sceptre tenor.

Buy if you want something different
I would not recommend this uke as your first as it's very bright and the sound is as unique as the look. The box is small so has a more punchy sound than other tenors. Also, the balance isn't as good as the standard Koaloha Tenor as it's head heavy...wished they used open geared tuners to decrease weight.

Now if you want a conversation piece, this is it!!

The Most Unique Uke Ever!
If you don't know anything about the KoAloha Sceptre, you're probably saying to yourself "What IS this thing?" Well, I can tell you it's one of the most unique and gorgeous sounding instruments ever. When you receive this uke and get your first look in person, you'll think "There's no way THIS thing could be as loud as they say it is," until you pick this bad boy up. Your first strum will make your jaw fall onto the floor in awe. This particular uke sounds INCREDIBLE in high G tuning. It is a cannon! Don't be discouraged by the odd shape, because it's been designed to be lovingly cradled in your arms. Your arm fits right in between points and it's quite comfortable. Additionally, KoAloha has switched tuners and their new ones are much lighter now, so this instrument is quite well-balanced. Buy this you won't be sorry and you'll own the sickest looking uke in the world!!!

A Unique And Fabulous Uke
I purchased my KoAloha Sceptre Tenor in August of 2012 from the great folks at Hawaii Music Supply and have enjoyed every minute that I have played it (I can't put it down!). The uke sounds amazing and the quality of the construction and finish is top rate. The Sceptre draws a lot of attention and comments everytime I bring it to my weekly uke group. I love the uniqueness of the Sceptre's design, but most of all I love the sound and wonderful action that makes the instrument a joy to play. Thanks also the the great folks at Hawaii Music supply for providing such a good setup and stellar customer service.....Mahalo.
