I received my gloss K-1 C about 3 weeks ago and have been playing it everyday since then. I have to say that this is by far one of the best ukuleles that I have ever played. The sound is very warm, almost harp -like, with near perfect intonation up the neck. The set-up from Hawaii Music Supply was perfect as well; I can strum and pick notes with a heavy attack without any string buzz. I am relatively new to the ukulele, but have been playing guitar for over 30 years. I have owned a number of higher end guitars and basses through the years , so I know how a quality, professional-grade instrument fells like in your hands, and this Kanile'a concert has the same feel and build-quality as any $2000 and up Martin, Taylor, and Gibson acoustic guitar. If you are an intermediate player, you owe it to yourself to at least consider one of the "K" brand, Hawaiian built ukuleles for your next purchase. And I cannot say enough good things about Andrew and the entire crew at HMS. These guys know ukuleles and will do their best to ensure your satisfaction. I will definitely be buying from them again, when I am ready for my next purchase.
