Pono Maple Pro Classic Tenor Slot Head Cutaway - MPTSHC
We recently got in these new Pono’s and can truly say that you can not find a better instrument for this price. The Pro-Classic series is the Pono version of the Ko’olau deluxe, one of the finest ukulele’s money can buy. Many of us would love to own a Ko’olau deluxe tenor, but if spending over a few thousand is out of the question, the Pro-Classic Pono models have the same features and tones at a fraction of the price.

Pono MPTSHC
Same instrument as the more common MPTSH, but with a cutaway for easier access to the high register. The slightly less amount of soundboard does not diminish the sound because that section of the upper bout will simply not affect the resonance. These Maple slot head cutaways sound and look amazing. This is truly a pro level ukulele that looks and sounds about as good as you will find!
The MPT models from Pono have a Spruce top and Maple sides, back, and neck .This model shown here have a slotted headstock and is available with or without a pickup which right now only adds $80. This is a Pono passive pickup system that has a very natural, acoustic sound. The Maple spruce series is perfect for recording because of the balance and clarity. There is depth to the sound but also a sweet sparkle to the higher frequencies. The maple Pro-Classic models have become a highly regarded choice from the Pono line. It is hard to beat the tonal characteristics of a spruce top. There is a reason the majority of guitars are built with a spruce top. No other wood has this amount of volume and resonance.
