Kala really nailed it with this model. All solid woods, wood binding and purfling, beautiful inlays, and a quality feel.This little uke has a lot of music in it. It is loud and full of lower tones that will inspire your ears! Beyond the sound, what is very apparent from the pictures. This solid Lacewood is exceptionally beautiful, and the appointments are just right.

Why does this soprano sound so much better than most you hear? The biggest factor is the Spruce top. There is a reason why this is the most popular soundboard wood for guitars, violins, mandolins and just about every other stringed instrument made. That, and the fact that Kala is hitting the mark on a higher quality instrument now. Of course, you pay for it. BUT, if it means your going to play more and enjoy it more, and you can afford, get a better instrument. It will make it easier for you to get better!
