Design Your Own Custom Ko'olau Ukulele!

These are Ko'olau Model 100's. They are not available instruments. They are examples for your reference as you put together a custom order. These models rarely come into store stock because Ko'olau is busy fulfilling custom orders. So how can you put one on order? It's real simple, fun, and this is the place to do it. Choose your size, choose your woods, choose from the upgrade options, and then pay the deposit. Then comes the hard part. Waiting! But after 8-10 months you will be glad you did!

The 100 series comes standard with high grade woods, abalone rosette, ebony fretboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, Gotoh tuning keys, 100% Hide Glue construction, nitro-cellulose lacquer finish, a deluxe hard case,  and a lifetime warranty.

This first example is one of the finest ukes that will fit into a soprano case. The SLN 100, soprano long neck 100. Recently Ko'olau made their soprano body slightly larger. This gives it a deeper and warmer tone than we have ever heard from this size. The long neck (concert scale length) is a perfect compliment to this new body shape giving more range and ability to your music. It still fits perfectly into a soprano Ko'olau case that it comes with.

This is the C100, or concert 100. The cosmetic precision here is matched with a sweet and full tone, excellent intonation and more sustain than your typical concert. Most likely a musical companion for life, the Ko'olau C100.

This is the T100, or tenor model 100 in all koa. A serious ukulele gives some serious fun, and this tenor will take your enjoyment to another level. It has a huge, open sound and hasn't even started to break in! We were very impressed with the volume and sustain on this Ko'olau. It has the warmth and richness Ko'olau is known for and incredible sustain all the way up the neck. Even the high notes ring out with fullness!

This is the same as above but with the slotted headstock option. These are hand built by Noa Bonk using the finest materials and techniques. If you are craving some serious tone from a tenor, this may be just what you want!

This model 100 has a spruce top with koa back and sides. It has the upgraded top binding which is a required upgrade if you choose spruce, cedar. or redwood for your top.

p>This one has a cedar top with koa back and sides. It has the required upgraded top binding and also the upgrade to slotted headstock.

This is the pineapple shaped tenor or T100P. It also has top binding and slotted headstock upgrades. With the guitar the shape, or waist, is for a reason. It fits on your lap when your sitting and it's easier to reach around sitting or standing. With the ukulele, no one over the age of 7 rests the waist on their leg. Your posture would have to be ridiculously bad! The pineapple tenor is no different to the regular tenor in comfort or ability to reach around and the sound is as sweet as the fruit it was named after.

As you can hear, these custom ukuleles made by Noa Bonk all have excellent balance and sustain from every wood and size available here. For us, getting these instruments is a special thing. The feel of a Ko'olau gives you more freedom to just enjoy playing. Zach said in describing Koolau ukuleles, "It just feels right". Build your own with the choices below and before you know it (6-8 months), you will have an amazing instrument for life!

The only problem with Ko'olau is trying to keep them in stock. Because of the small production nature of the custom shop, and their high demand around the world, this method of ordering is the fastest way to get one and ensures you a beautiful and professional level ukulele!

Please note that you are not ordering a "In Stock" ukulele with this product. This enables you to custom order a Ko'olau Deluxe choosing from many options available. It then will be about 8-10 months before completion of your custom 'uke. Choose to pay all now or pay a deposit and the balance upon completion. Please contact us if you have any questions!
