After buying ukuleles from the big chain type of stores online in the past I had pretty low expectations of what I should be getting. What theukulelesite.com sent me though was nothing short of a work of art.
It's appearance is one of a kind, with a beautiful gloss finish. I'm not normally a fan of glossy finishes but it really does work well on this wood.
As far as sound goes, it delivers a warm rich quality that works great finger picking and has a guitar type of growl when strummed. I don't want to sound like I'm over selling it by saying this but the ukulele i purchased is setup so well that every single space on the fretboard plays clearly with no buzzing. I didnt even know that was possible.
As far as value goes, I feel like my money was well spent. The factory put in the time in the right places and if there was ever something "wrong" with it the guys at theukulelesite.com fixed it in setup so what I received was about as close to perfect as what I would think is possible. This ukulele plays like a much higher end instrument than it's price tag reflects.
