I bought my Luna Tattoo from HMS a year ago now. First ukulele, but long time guitar layer w many guitars through the years. I wanted something at an under $200 price to get me started on the uke. After a lot of research (no, make that A LOT) I settled on the Luna Tat from HMS. Having played it daily for a year now, I am totally pleased. I have 5 or 6 different different string sets on it and have currently settled on Kala Pearls (microwound). They trice it a punchy bright sound. I live in Waikiki, so I routinely play ukes at about six different ukelele shops that are near my condo, from entry level to high end....very ahoy with sound, fit and feel of my Tattoo. Sure I would like a $1500, and probably will get one some day. But wil always hang into my Luna. I bought my mainland son a different under $200 tenor as a gift from a mainland dealer. Bad decision. It doesn't have the same quality tone - sounds like a banjo compared to Luna!
