This is a really nice ukulele. It feels solid, and sounds crisp and clean. The binding in the pictures look red, but in person, it is a warm reddish brown color. It looks quite nice, and goes really well with the rosewood back and sides.
This ukulele is worth the money I spent on it. I will say though that I was only willing to get a Kala from HMS because of there set up process. Imported instruments, even though better than they used to be, are not always consistent. Kala is no exception to this rule. Mine plays like a top notch ukulele with the included set up. I am very pleased.
