After months of research and agonising over which way to go I contacted MGM about the K1 C Gloss ukulele. Mike was fantastic, emailing me photos from his phone on the shop floor and staying patient as I asked him endless questions. I'm in Australia and Kanilea's are thin on the ground here - I'd never even seen one - so buying online was a big step. I tracked the parcel from Hawaii to Australia, my excitement growing by the day. And I still get a thrill every time I open the case and hold it. The finish and workmanship are a knockout. The tone is just what I was looking for and although the fretted C string is a bit dull, I think it is opening up over time. I put on some Living Water strings and I just love it. Thanks Kanilea and MGM for this instrument which is just a joy.
