Very pretty instrument out of the box. Sounded good with an amp but acoustic only, the E string was dull sounding. I changed to 3 or four different brands of strings thinking it might be a bad string, but it didn't help. I thought about sending it back but I just sold it instead (at a loss of course). It must have been the build quality.
