This is a concert from the Kanile'a Islander line. It is truly beautiful and extremely elegant for such an affordable instrument. It feels wonderful and has a warm, full body of tone.
This concert features beautiful figured maple bound in maple wood, and framed off with a wood rope rosette, an attractive blonde with an equally sweet voice. Right now we are including a free canvas covered hard shell case! Corey gives us a sound sample.
One aspect of the Kanile'a build that many like is the slightly wider 1.5" nut width. This gives ample room for chording making it especially comfortable for many.

This is my second order from HMS, and both times I've been above-and- beyond-expectations satisfied. The full setup is well worth the wait, as with both purchases the playability has been ideal for my somewhat aggressive style of play. This time I wanted an uke that I could travel with and not have to worry too much about leaving in the car for a couple of hours occasionally. However, this laminated beauty is much more than a canoe paddle. What a great-sounding, beautiful instrument! And even though I bought it on sale at a somewhat nominal price, the setup is awesome! Plus, it came with a solid, but lightweight case. Thanks for the smiles and fantastic service.

I took a chance on this based simply on reputation of K'anilea and The Ukulele Site. I am so very glad I did! I love this ukulele. It is very well made. It sounds so much better than the laminate I had already. It is beautiful to look at too. I asked for the full set up and it is set up perfectly. I highly recommend this.

I love this ukulele! 0 people found this helpfulI got this as a gift from my brother and his family from their Hawaii vacation. I own 6 other ukuleles including a Fluke Concert, a Kamoa E3-T, and a Kala Travel Tenor. I really thought tenor was my size until I started playing this uke....now I'm thinking I like concert and it's probably because of this particular ukulele. First of all, it's absolutely beautiful. I love that it has pegs for the strings instead of having to tie them off when switching. I switched out the G to a low G. Sound is rich and loud. The action that mine came with is perfect (not sure if that's due to the setup at the factory or from the store they bought it from (Hilo Guitars & Ukuleles). The tuners are really nice and hold tune well. I get the same great sound of my tenors from this concert. Looking at the price I was kind of shocked it was so low. You won't regret this one. If you are looking to upgrade to a better ukulele from your starter and want a really nice ukulele without spending a ton this would be a great choice. Or if you have a little bro who is a ukulele freak and you are in Hawaii and want to be an awesome bro pick this one up....thanks Bill!
