An absolute incredible instrument
First of all, the people at Hawaiian Music Supply are wonderful people to deal with. They are concerned about the customer and make one feel like you are the only one.
Now to the instrument. The Koaloha Tenor with "low" g tuning is absolutely magnificent!! The beautiful Koa wood is breath taking to look at, and the sound is the best I have ever heard. It is mellow, plump and projects very well. The timbre of this instrument is so rich one could not want anything more. It responds to musical phrasing making it an instrument capable of great music expression. The sky is the limit!!
The ukulele is a serious instrument, and I am only beginning to unlock some of it's great potential as a solo instrument, for Bach,S.L.Weiss, and just about any music.
This instrument in my opinion is one of the best money can buy. Get one yourself and you will love it for life!
Enjoy!

Excellent.
I was looking at buying a Koaloha concert uke in January of this year. As I went to make the purchase, I found the instrument I wanted had been snapped up by someone else (possibly seconds before). I e-mailed Andrew asking what went wrong - he explained and assured me they would be receiving new concerts from Koaloha very shortly. The next day he e-mailed me with an offer for a discounted tenor. It had a cosmetic flaw, he said, and if I was interested he'd knock the price down to almost the price of the concert I had previously had my eye on. I said yes, asked if I could get the Oahu hard case added onto my order, and made the purchase.

The uke arrived a few days later via FedEx in Ontario. It sounds great, looks great (I THINK I found the "flaw" - I wouldn't so much call it a flaw as a barely noticeable, slightly different pattern in the wood) AND I found out that the case had been included for free. Andrew gave me a $300 discount on what is (to my eye, and the eye of anyone else who is not a trained luthier/ukulele expert) a flawless instrument and included a hard case for free because he is the best guy.

I cannot recommend the Koaloha KTM-00 or Hawaii Music Supply highly enough.

Feeling Blessed!
My KoAloha Tenor is a real beauty! That's what I like about KoAloha, there can be such variation in how the koa wood looks between one model and the next which makes each one unique. Joel helped me not only with the set up, but also quite a bit on the business end of things. I've got the feeling I'm not the only one he helps in this way. The sound from my KoAloha is sweet! Very rich and resonant. This is an easy ukulele to play and I can't recommend it enough. Andrew also played a roll in helping me get just the right uke so my thanks go to him too.

Very Pleased!
This ukulele has so much to offer! The sound is rich with a resounding sustain that goes on and on. I had Joel fit mine with Fremont strings with a low wound G and it sounds great! One thing that I also really like is its playability. It's easy to play. This is why I would recommend this as a first ukulele or tenor ukulele to anyone looking to get into playing the ukulele.. Yes, it's more expensive than other good models but because it sounds so good and plays so easy you'll be more likely to play it often and stick with it too. Joel and Zach did a great job answering my ton of questions and Andrew was so cool in helping me with my fickle mind. If you take into consideration the free shipping costs, an excellent setup that who's importance I can't stress enough, a free high quality hard case, great service all around from the people at HMS, an already lower price than most ukulele stores, than you are actually getting a really, really good deal on this ukulele and others at HMS. Aloha!

I Love My Koaloha Tenor!
I have the experience of now owning, and the extreme pleasure of playing, a beautiful Koaloha Tenor. The intonation is perfect all the way up the neck! Furthermore, the tone is responsive to my playing in every way: loud, soft, bright, mellow, delicate and articulate finger picking, or free and expressive, rhythmic strumming. The Worth strings with a low G are a great match for this instrument. The beautiful Koa wood and the pleasing and distinctive head stock, sound hole, and bow tie bridge are a wonderful blend of form and function. The grover tuners allow for precision tuning with ease. The only thing I would wish for in an improvement would be some dots marking the positions on the top side binding to match the beautiful inlaid position markers on the fingerboard. Otherwise, this musical instrument is perfect in every way! I love my Koaloha Tenor!

Great sounding tenor
Excellent choice for a Hawaiian built koa tenor. I've had more ukes than I care to mention. This KoAloha tenor is one the best sounding ukes I have played, on par with more expensive or custom ukes. I have only played it in low G, because it sounds so good in low G. It has a clear tone with great bass and mid range frequencies. The wider, thinner neck make it really easy and fun to play. The bound fret board and nicely finished frets also ease playing. It is very light. There is no kerfing in the build. The unibracing works well. Sound-wise the ukes is perfect.

The only small issues I found in the uke that kept if from perfection (5 stars) were in the finish. There was tiny ding (1/8") on the top around the sound hole, under the finish, and a ding on back of middle point on headstock crown, also the "KoAloha" inlay on the bridge had dark smudges (can be corrected with light sanding). While these are hard to notice, you would not expect these on a Kanile'a or Ko'olau. I prefer the sound of this KoAloha tenor to a Kanile'a tenor.

loud and resonant uke
I love my KoAloha tenor. It is incredibly easy to play, it has incredible tone and unbeatable volume. When strung low g, it is also very balanced. KoAloha also has unparalleled customer service and warranty. Their styling is not for everyone (musibi shaped soundhole and crown headstock), but if you like the looks you cannot beat its sound or value.

Beautiful Ukulele!
This ukulele looks beautiful, is well made and has a very warm and full sound. KoAloha Company is doing it right and I like the "Musubi" patented opening. Not sure if that particular shape has acoustical enhancement value, but it is different and makes me hungry for good Hawaiian musibi hahaha.
I recommend Hawaii Music Supply. Aaron spent so much time with me on the phone explaining the differences in the various uke's. It's as if we got to know each other on the phone. Andrew then helped prepare the uke and it was done in the first class manner. Every uke is tuned by HMS prior to shipping. A great bonus because uke's are like a living thing, everyone is slightly different and tuning makes all the difference in the world. Enjoy!

Great Hawaiian Tenor
Bought my KTM-00 from Music Guy Mic earlier this year. Still in love with it. It's louder and warmer than my Kamaka Tenor. Neck has a great feel, not too thin but not too thick either. Intonation is great. I keep mine in Low G tuning, and have been preferring the Worth Low G clears or PHD Low G strings. There are some building flaws, issues, characteristics depending on how you few them. Fretboard extension has some gaps between it and the body, there are some finish flaws and other minor non tone, structure things with it. But I've seen these minor things with Kamaka and KoAloha. None of these things would stop me from buying these ukes. Great playing and sounding uke, dont regret buying this uke at all!
