For 10 years now the Pono acacia soprano has been one of our best selling ukes. This new ASSD is the same as the ASD, solid acacia soprano with a gloss finish, but it has a concert scale neck. It retains the full, warm tone of the regular soprano but with added room between frets for easier play-ability to many, and extra projection, clarity, and sustain in the tone.

This new Pono model is a great little uke that fits in a soprano case for light traveling but plays more like a concert. It has a classic tone and a classy look!

Perfect fit for big guy :) 0 people found this helpfulI already have Tenor Kanile'a and Islander, learning few months; I tried to check if there are some smallest Soprano for fun... and I found this one, Super-Soprano (Concert-size fretboard). Unfortunately Pono website does not list this ASSD model yet! I ordered from your site, with full setup, it was fast, safe delivery to Canada by DHL. Extremely well built, super nice sound! This newborn Pono (Acacia) sounds better than my newborn Kanilea PKE-T (Koa) but I expect Kanilea will open in few months for true sound. Also, super important for me is that I can play all frets! I have large hands (size L), I am 5'10", and I do not feel it is too small size for me; just perfect. Super good quality. Looks amazing, sounds wonderful. Thank you HMS and Pono!
