This model, like the Pro Classics models from Pono, has a radius fingerboard. It's hardly noticeable, but for many, it adds to the comfort of play, especially with barre chording. Other features include: Wi'awa top binding and rope purfling, a Honduran mahogany neck, and lightweight Grover tuning keys.

A key feature in all of the Pono tenors and baritones is the dual-action adjustable truss rod. This stabilizes and adjusts the lengthwise forward curvature, also called relief, of the neck. It can be adjusted from inside the soundhole the provided allen wrench. Over time, and with humidity changes, this is a very useful option to have. It's also a very easy to adjust.

Great purchase 0 people found this helpfulNewbie on the Ukulele here, though I could halfway play a guitar. This is a quality instrument, despite the relatively inexpensive price tag. Build is perfection, and the solid woods are WELL worth the slightly higher cost. The cedar top gives it a nice, slightly warm tone, but the acacia sides and back, give super projection. I went with the low G, and am very happy with the linear sound. More importantly, the customer service is unsurpassed, and the full setup is well worth the wait... Perfection, including the installation of the LRBaggs 5.0 active pickup system. Joel, Veronica, Andrew, and the shipping department did a fantastic job.

It's easy to play, the sound upon arrival was nice but a little thin, but over time it has opened up to be really full and beautiful. The satin finish is really nice, and just flawless. I am really having a ton of fun, and am playing more as it's just a joy to play. The set up was spot on, thank you so much!
