- Highly recommend this for an entry to everyday player.
I'm very new to the Ukulele, so can only tell you how much I love my little Zirikote Cancert Ukulele. To be honest, price wasn't a deciding factor, what drew me to this one was the amazing grain. I've had mine now for about 4 months, and like a previous poster, I travel extensively, and take this little gem with me everywhere. Initially I had to tune her often, but the strings stretched and now hold their tune. The sound is amazing, and it has taken the place my travel Gibson Mandolin on all my trips now.
Once I feel that I am playing decent, I will probably move up to a solid koa model . . . just because I'm like that. But I can tell you, this one is just awesome sounding and looking.

- Nice choice for a laminate concert
I am new to ukes and have been learning for about 3 months. I have a Pono Mahogany/Cedar tenor that is very nice, but I don't like to take it when I travel. I wanted something less expensive I could easily take when I travel for business so I can play at the hotel. I wanted a laminate concert and this seemed to fit the bill. It sounds good on the sample with the Aquilla strings, but I wanted a nylon low G so I had it strung with the Worth CM -LG set. This model sounds nice, has greater sustain than my Pono, and the strings have less tension which make it pretty easy to play. I was worried about the quality of the tuners but they seem to be of adequate quality to fine tune and hold a tune. Very impressed. Now I can practice when I am on the road and won't have to worry about damaging a Uke that is 3 times the price. If you want a quality concert Uke at a decent price, this one is highly recommended.
