Fremont "Soloist" Polished Low G Ukulele String
$4.50
Fremonts are pure fluorocarbon strings made in Japan. This is more expensive material than regular nylon and is also used by the Worth company. Many people like these strings and you can find forum threads etc if you want to see feed back. It is always only opinions. Most people that try these strings love them, and for good reason. They are a very high quality strings with an easy tension and an articulate voice. Try some on your concert or soprano.

As close to perfect as it gets 3 people found this helpfulI've tried many low G strings and for me, there are none better than this. I can't tolerate the squeaks and flimsiness of the others. Plus, these last a really long time. I highly recommend!

Made me a wound Low G convert! 5 people found this helpfulThis is my first wound Low G and I really like it. Is it truly squeakless? Pretty close. The other 3 strings on my Kanile'a Tenor are clear fluorocarbon and I'm surprised at how balanced the sound is. That uke came with a high G and the Fremont Soloist (.030") fit the slot without adjustment. Thought I'd try it on a super soprano and it was a little too thick. I didn't want to mess with the nut so I strung it with Oasis Bright Low G (.029") and the G was a perfect fit. Your results may vary.
