Kalei plays this model during one of our latest podcasts.
The ATSH tenor version of this model has been a really popular model for the last few years. For this reason, Pono finally made the baritone all-acacia Pro Classic you see here. Beautiful to look at and a joy to play! Features include:
- Radius fretboard for extra comfortable feel
- Beautiful figured dark acacia with wood inlay rosette
- Ebony top & back binding
- Slotted headstock
- Gloss lacquer finish
- Black Oahu Hardshell Case Included
Pono is a small crew of talented luthiers. They only use solid woods, only bone nut and saddle, only wood bindings, and use no plastics. Pono has a climate-controlled factory on the island of Java. They diligently aims for perfection on every level. It shows!
All of the Pono tenor and baritone models feature a dual-action, adjustable truss rod. This is used to stabilize and adjust the lengthwise forward curvature, also called relief, of the neck. It can be adjusted from inside the soundhole with the provided allen wrench. This is something you will probably not need to adjust. But over time, and with humidity changes, it is a very useful option to have and easy to adjust.
