Worth BM (Brown) Double Set for Soprano or Concert sized Ukulele

Worth Premium 100% Fluorocarbon Ukulele Strings. Worth ukulele strings are unlike most other nylon ukulele strings as they are made from an expensive flourocarbon material that improves intonation, note clarity, and sustain. These are sold in double length sets so each package actually contains enough string to make two sets. Extra long, each string can be cut in half before installation.

This set is one of Worths most popular string sets. Many prefer these on their soprano or concert ukes for their bright, powerful projection, and their crystal clear tone. Worth ukulele strings are unlike most other nylon ukulele strings as they are made from an expensive fluorocarbon material that improves intonation, note clarity, sustain. Made in Japan these strings have become a favorite for many players and builders.

These ukulele strings come in two types: Clear denoted by the C in title, or Brown denoted by B in the title. Both have same diameters, but players say the Browns are a little less tension and warmer while the clears are tighter and crisper sounding.

Worth Strings are unchangeable in any type of environment… hot cold humid or dry.

This package makes 2 sets!

Love these strings on my Pono acacia concert ukulele it is just the right sound for my liking. I had Worths browns on my tenor Cordoba and did not enjoy the sound it was not the right fit with that instrument. It is very true that each instrument with the same brand of strings sounds completely different. These strings are thin and with higher tensions can be more painfull for the fingers but I have no problem on concert size instrument. Easy to play and the sound is loud and bright.

I currently have 3 Kala Ukes, all either totally solid or solid top and all were set up by Joel with Aquila Nylgut Strings. I like the Aquilas a LOT, but I've read so many reviews about Worth Strings I had to give them a try. I can't really say that one is better than the other - I think it's all a matter of preference. I prefer a mellower sound, but not so mellow that you can't hear it. So I thought I'd try the BMs out on my solid cedartop, and it worked! I probably wouldn't use them on my acacia because the sound is already mellow enough. Probably would be good on a spruce top, too, where the sound is normally brighter. As mentioned in other reviews, you get enough to srring 2 ukes, so the value for the money is actually excellent! Will I replace all of my Aquilas with Worths? Probably not, because I like them both and it really depends on what kind of sound I'm going for at the moment.

They are a bit pricey, but you do get two sets. They usually work well on solid mahogany soprano ukulele's. They are a bit thinner than nylon or nylgut strings, so they will feel a bit different if that's what you're used to. But all in all, they're great strings.

Worth Ukulele Strings are great! I personally really appreciate the fact that you can string two ukuleles with one pack of Worth Strings since it gives me an extra set of strings to use as soon as I need them. Secondly, the brown color of the strings seems to give my ukulele legitimacy as an instrument in the eyes of non-ukulele players. Even my roommate who has heard me play intricate fingerstyle pieces with my Cordoba said "Wow! It looks like a real instrument now!" Wasn't sure if I should take that as a compliment or not, but regardless, Worth strings are great for the price, the sound they produce, and, apparently, the look that they give your ukulele!

I used these to string my bruko n. 6, it improved the sound greatly. I like them much better than the piramid strings my bruko came with. The sound is much warmer and intonation improved. As a plus these strings are long enough to string 2 ukes. Highly recommended!
