Most people already know that Kala has a travel series, thin bodies with some real punchy tone, great sustain, and comfortable feel. Now we have an upgraded version with a cutaway body and stunning spalted make on the sides and back.
On this model there is slightly more arch to the back. Now it's even louder!

Beautiful! 2 people found this helpfulThis is a wonderful ukulele. It is beautiful to look at, sounds wonderful, and is easy to play. Big thanks to the folks at The Ukulelesite for the great setup. It arrived wrapped very securely, with the new humidifier in place. It holds its tune pretty well and I'm having a blast learning & jamming with friends. I shouldn't have waited so long to get it!

Love it 2 people found this helpfulWhen I played the original Kala travel ukuleles at a local store, I was surprised how loud it could sing. Now I saw this new model with cutaway and salted maple, I couldn't resist. This new model has rounder back compare to the original model, it gives even louder voice. And it sounds very beautiful. The only down side is $100 difference between two models. But if you want a cool looking travel uke, you wouldn't be disappointed.
