Perfectly suited my needs
I've owned this ukulele for over two years now, and I am still as much satisfied with it today as I was when I played it for the first time. I was a little unsure about the travel size at first, but I soon found that the thin body in no way hindered the rich sound of this ukulele. This was my first ukulele to purchase, and it suited my needs perfectly. The fretboard is long enough for my longer fingers, and I have been satisfied with the quality of the wood. I wanted to purchase a good-quality ukulele, and this ukulele met those wants perfectly.

Beautiful and lovable ukulele!
I love this thing. It's my first ukulele and I can't stop playing it. Love the size and sound plus it's super easy to play (especially for a newbie like me). Can't get enough of it!

awesome, fun
I wouldn't consider myself and expert by any means. I've been reading everyone's reviews. . I keep reading " Can't put it down." That is exactly how it is, I can't put it down. Its sound is crisp. Its fun to play. Love the size and the gig bag that came with it...

Fantastic sound and feel
This was my second uke. Love the tone and volume from the comfortable thin body. Bought a more expensive Fender for its visual beauty as this one is plain jane, but the Fender can't hold a candle to this one for playability and ease of tuning. Warning on fenders that telestock crown has almost no room for a clip on tuner and the high gloss or something interferes as well. The kala tunes great and once Aquila strings stretched really stays in tune! Can't recommend more highly! Just with they made prettier options available too!

such a positive surprise, just brilliant in tone and playability
this is by far my favorite uke ( and the cheapest I have ), so easy to play and so very punchy, also as it is so flat, easy to place fingers in the right spots when practicing, was bought and set up by The Ukulele Site and posted to the UK, thanks.

Certainly satisfied with this awesome uke!
I was told by my cousin that these thin body ukes were pretty amazing given that the size was so much different than the normal full body ukulele. All I can say is boy was he correct! He is a pretty advanced player of the instrument so I knew he knew what he was talking about. I'd consider myself an intermediate player, and I lost the urge to pick up and play my old ukulele. But ever since I bought this one, I can't put it down! Awesome product and sound is so full. I don't think i'll ever put this ukulele in my closet like I did my old one. When I went in to The Ukulele Site store in Haleiwa, I bought the very last one in the store and I am so happy that I did!

A Fun uke to jam with
I perform out on a regular basis with my Mando and a couple of ukes. Ths one is just plain fun to use. I have a decent pickup installed, and use a bunch of stomp boxes and a wireless unit. It's allowed me to jump out in front as a lead guitar player, with a great, agile instrument. Don't be scared by the thin size. This thing sounds HUGE. Gave one to my friend who insisted on learning guitar, and refused to take a uke seriously. He can't put this thing down. Wish it was sold with a pickup option.

Playing typical 70's and 80's style rock, with a wound G Aguila set.

Shocked at the one I saw at our local retail dealer.
I know I'm the odd review out, but I think this is important to share.

I could not believe the uke that I saw was on the floor of our local dealer! The action was obscenely high because the thin body was actually warping forward because of the tension of the strings.
Certainly I saw an anomalous particularly bad instrument, (I live in the Pacific NW which may also be hard on instruments with the moisture and forced heat). Perhaps this situation wasn't being improved any by our local store seemingly not attempting to remedy the uke,..

However, seeing the state of that travel uke totally scared me away from the thin body concept. Sorry.

The price on the uke site seems very good, and I totally trust their set up process to send off a solid instrument. For sure that should be very reassuring to those still interested, and may make all the difference.

Still... guess what,.. a ukulele is "travel sized" by it's nature!! Get a good concert or soprano, even tenors aren't that big in their normal dimensions.

Sweet for camping (et al)
I thought this uke would be a disappointment, but was I wrong - I picked it up at a store and it played loud and sweet. No adjustments to action required, nicely in tune, easy on the fingers. The beautiful arched shape of the back makes up for any "travel" instrument cliche's you might expect, and nice, embroidered case is perfect for camping (how many people buy a uke on a camping holiday?, well I did!).

Price is right, sale price even better.
