Fremonts are pure fluorocarbon strings made in Japan. This is more expensive material than regular nylon and is also used by the Worth company. Here is a video with the Fremont high G set played next to 7 other of the most popular high G sets on the same model. This is also available in the low G set on this listing.

great for low g, unwound 1 people found this helpfulI have these strings on another tenor uke of mine and when I got a Kala from here, I bought and had these strings installed on my uke. I like the sound of them (not into hearing my playing with a wound low g), the looks (which I know aren't the name of the game but) and the price and value for your money. I highly recommend these strings to anyone wanting a low g unwound.

They make my ukulele sound like it was meant to. 1 people found this helpfulA very impressive midrange string. My Kala KA SMHT SC has lacked both sustain and volume lately so I decided to give these a try. Amazing sound and clarity. I’ve had them on a week and they have yet to stop stretching but hopefully it won’t be much longer. I actually liked them so much I immediately ordered a second set from The Ukulele Site and they arrived today! Thank you for the fast turnaround!
