This tenor is displayed and protected by the cleanest gloss finish yet from Pono. This glassy lacquer finish is extremely strong yet just a few thousandths of an inch thick. This is the art of uninhibited protection. And they are continually improving their design. Some of the recent changes include finishing the neck and body separate for a more perfect neck joint. They also started making the necks on these models a satin finish with the body and faceplate being gloss. This gives your hand smooth sliding on the neck while still showing off the instrument in a beautiful gloss finish.
Pono only uses solid woods, only bone nut, and saddle. wood bindings, no plastics. They have a climate-controlled factory on the island of Java and diligently aim for perfection on every level. It shows!
