This is an excellent 12 fret to body late 40's/ early 50's Martin tenor ukulele. Roughly 70 years old and this uke is in great condition with no cracks and only one small repair on the bottom lower bout side where it would sit on your leg. You can see that in the last picture. My main worry with sight unseen Martins is the neck set or curvature . This one is right on with a fantastic feel and nice low action without buzzing.
Some of these old 12 fret to body Martin tenors truly sound great. This one really has a lush warm tone you get out of great vintage instruments, but with a sweet sparkle to the high notes. Check out a raw sound sample from Corey.
This is a rare find. Usually when we get this era Martin it looks like it's been through a few wars. This one is actually pretty clean and looks well cared for over the years with just some finish checking and one repair.
Martin made the tenor in a 12 fret to body and 14. This is a 12 fret. Some feel these have the sweetest of tone, I'm one of them. Don't miss this opportunity for a classic vintage Martin in great shape.
