This custom tenor was built by Noa Bonk. Even though it's the base model it was entirely built by one of the best ukulele makers ever and plays and feels amazing.
The T2 fits into exactly what a lot of us want in an ukulele; a modest yet beautiful Hawaiian koa tenor with an elegant design, a very light weight, effortless play-ability, and a serious, sweet sound. The T2 gives not just good volume, but “tone”, warmth, and sustain you wont find in the affordable realm. But, if you can afford it, it is totally worth every penny!
Corey gives us a "raw" sound sample of this exact ukulele available here. High G Ko'olau Alohi strings here with a Thomastik Infeld flat wound C.
Companies often focus on growth and the result is a low quality product. The quality that made them popular can not be maintained by loads of workers that barely know what they are doing.Ko’olau became popular as a high-end custom shop, and there is really no way to have that quality with a high production. The down side, of course, is that Ko’olau’s are harder to get. If you are thinking of a Hawaiian made tenor with an inspiring feel and tone, then this is an awesome choice!
At no charge we can set your Ko'olau up with a Low G, or alternate set of strings.
