Pictures show the exact Hawaiian Koa Tenor ukulele now available here! (If it says "In Stock")

Originally this model with this finish and their T.R.U. bracing system was called the “Sound Monster”. It is true, the tone is Monstrous! But not just excelling in tone, this “bare bones” Kanilea has a natural beauty with select Hawaiian koa. It is the entry price level for a Kanile'a tenor, and yet it is, to some, the most beautiful.  The lacquer satin finished koa has a really "woody" tone, very open. Take a listen to the same model.

The Kanile'a company has been refining their design and articulations the last few years and they are surely at the top of their game. Joe Souza heads a killer team of builders and finishers that are putting out a great value on a pro level ukulele.

This is a tenor sized instrument and comes with a tenor canvas covered hardshell case and herco humidifier.

    Setup Options

Most people shop with us because of the extensive quality control and final setup work we provide at no extra cost on all ukuleles we ship out. However this is time consuming work and creates a delay in shipping. We are now offering an "Expedited Setup" for those wanting to receive their instrument faster. See details on the Full Setup and Expedited Setup options along with current turnaround times for each at the link- HERE.

    Extra Options

    * One of the options for this ukulele is to trade out the Herco included humidifier (HE-360) for the more expensive Oasis Ukulele Humidifier (OH-18 or OH-5+) at a discount. This is required if you live in a low humidity area (e.g., parts of California, Nevada, Arizona, etc.) or an area with winter seasons, especially if you are heating the air in your house. For more info refer to the Ukulele Care link at the bottom of this page. If you think you need to humidify the instrument, then you also need a hard case for a humidifier to properly work, and you need to maintain the humidifier by refilling it as needed.

    * Put a note in the Special Instructions if you would like to let our setup or shipping department know anything (e.g., “Please setup low G”).

    * Under the Accessories tab you can also customize this instrument by adding strap button(s) or your choice of pickup for plugging in. We recommend either the MiSi or the LR Baggs pickup for this ukulele.

    * After adding this instrument to your cart, you can shop further to create your own package by adding a case or accessories from the website.

    * Get a free shipping quote by adding this to your cart. If your order reaches $400 dollars or more, orders to the US will receive free FedEx 2-day shipping. Two days is the time in transit. For international orders, we include USPS Express shipping if your cart is $800 or more (subject to approval). Before it is shipped, your instrument will go through our setup department so that you get the best instrument for your money. For more information on our setup process, turnaround time, shipping, and return policies, refer to the links below Helpful Links at the bottom of the page.

Simple design that packs a balanced punch!
Got mine about a month ago. Switched out the stock strings with Ko'Olau Mahana's (high e) on the first day. It took about 2 weeks to fully stretch out but it was worth it. The sound on mine is amazing with this setup. Well balanced warmth and brightness. Volume is crazy on this thing too. It projects sound so far I have to be careful not to annoy my neighbors (tokyo compactness). I managed to forget to take my watch off on the second day and slightly scratched the finish, but nothing a quick walnut rub couldn't fix. The uke is much lighter than I expected in a tenor, and the tuners make tiny tuning adjustments a breeze. Designwise I love it. Very natural, very simple. It does have a very slight glimmer and the color slightly changes with the angle you hold the instrument at, which kind of surprised me to be honest. If your in the market for a simple looking ukulele that wont attract too much attention...until you start playing and overpower the noisy environment that is...then i highly doubt you'll be disappointed with this model.

Myself and every character Denzel has ever portrayed can guarantee you that you won't find another place on this planet that can rival ukulelesite.com's quality of service.
