Sitka Spruce grows in the most northwestern parts of North America in the coastal rainforests of Alaska and Canada. It is widely considered the staple of modern tonewood and has a tight, straight grain. It provides the instrument with incredible clarity and improved dynamic response while the Koa adds sustain and warmth to the tone.
