This is an outstanding concert custom built here on Oahu. It features ultimate tone woods for a gorgeous unique look and an outstanding sound. It plays smooth and it's just one of the best concerts to come through.
Charlie Fukuba is a musician first and foremost and he builds for tone. His craftsmanship is excellent and the inlays are super cool, but we love I'iwi for the tone. Such a warm, clear sound that plays true all the way up the neck.

This is one of the best concerts we've ever heard. This is partly because of this Torrefied spruce top. Many custom builders are praising this wood and every time we have experienced it it's truly special. For those not familiar this is taken from the Stewmac website,
About torrefied wood
It takes years for a new guitar to break in, to develop its tone and realize its full potential. As tonewood ages, its cell structure goes through changes, becoming much more resonant and responsive. After a few years, you get the payoff: you begin to hear the sound of a vintage guitar. With the introduction of torrefied woods, professional builders are giving their guitars a head start on tone. The wood is heat-treated in an oxygen-free kiln, making it highly resonant and extremely stable. It's as if the wood is pre-aged. It looks and sounds like wood that's been broken in for many years.
This pairs wonderfully with Myrtlewood, which offers a strong fundamental with a powerful voice. Grown in the northwest, it's a favorite for many styles. The back is a three piece design with a koa center strip that really adds to the striking beauty.
This ukulele has an ebony fretboard with a graphite rod in the neck. It also has a hand rubbed gloss finish. A beautiful instrument in every way and comes with a perfect fitting hard shell case.
