Duane Noble made this phenomenal instrument in his workshop in Richland Washington. This is the second harp ukulele we've gotten from Duane and it's just awesome! I really don't think the video or pictures do it justice. The tone is something you've never experienced. Even just playing it as a regular 4 string gives you loads of sustain and overtones that fill the air with a beautiful body of sustain like no other ukulele.
This instrument features beautifully figured mahogany from "The Tree". This is a famous mahogany tree cut in the Honduras’ Chicibul Jungle in 1965. It was huge with a magnificent spiraling bark and loggers knew it would be amazing so they tried to get it out even though it was in a crazy part of the jungle. But they couldn't get it out. It fell down a ravine. Other people came and tried and no one could get it out for 18 years. As you know, it did have amazing figure but it also has more density and properties of rosewood in its tone as well. Because of this, and it's scarcity, it became the most sought after wood for custom guitars for years there. I don't believe much is still around but obviously, Duane got this gorgeous set and it really does make for a beautiful instrument in look and tone.
A good deal of the tone, of course, comes from the soundboard and this one has a wonderful tight grain redwood top. Redwood is known for being responsive to a light touch, as well as a warm, full sound right off the bat. This ukulele has those qualities along with a presence and projection you rarely find.
Take a listen as Corey goes over some of the features and gives us a raw sound sample. Use quality headphones or speakers for most accurate listening and enjoy listening to this superb Duane Noble Harp ukulele.

The body is bound in ebony and, as you can see, it includes the ultra-smooth arm bevel. Other ebony accents match this look and gorgeous abalone and wood rosettes circle the two sound holes. This is all protected with a wonderful gloss lacquer finish for a truly professional build that will blow your mind.
This world-class instrument is unparalleled in both its tone and the truly impressive craftsmanship. A real gem and an inspiration to any musician.
Congratulations to whoever gets this one-of-a-kind incredible ukulele!
