Adirondack Spruce/ Hawaiian Koa - Unique Bevel Cutaway

Adirondack is the most prized spruce partly because of how it breaks in. Even within the year you will hear this uke open up and get even warmer. That's considering the already fantastic sound. Check it out-

This instrument is the exact specs of James Hill's custom DaSilva ukulele. It was his choice for good reason. The tones have a ringing chime and sustain you can't help but love. Bright and sweet, comfortable and beautiful, this uke is one of the finest.

We ordered this instrument in January and just now got it , so don't hesitate to snag this beauty! It comes from a very small and popular high end custom shop. It's hand crafted to the max. Even the pearl logo was hand inlayed, a rarity to the laser work of modern production. The geared wood pegs from peghed are a sweet touch and we include the Oahu Hardshell case (perfect fit!) and Herco Humidifier.

You're gonna love playing this one!

Extra Options

One of the options for this ukulele is to trade out the Herco, included humidifier, for the more expensive Oasis Ukulele Humidifier (OH-18). This is suggested if you live in a low humidity area.(parts of California, Nevada, Arizona, etc..) including cold winter areas if you are heating the air most of the day and night. For more info see our Ukulele Care link at the bottom of the site

Put a note in the special instructions if you want it strung with a low G or different string set at no extra charge.

This uke really is a great choice especially for beginners like me. This is my first ever ukulele and i find this ukulele very easy to learn from. One thing that I dont like about this uke though is that when i recieve mine straight from DaSilva, it had scratches on the neck and some parts were not gloss finished. Poor quality control but great sounding!

*I placed this on my chair yesterday and it suddenly dropped. I thought it broke but surprisingly, the bracings are tight therefore it didnt break. Just some minor scartches.... :P

Overall, a great uke!

The closest thing to modern vintage
Well what do you need to know more than the fact that James Hill swears by this very uke? Dasilva has something special going here--he manages to replicate that vintage sound the way that no other luthier seems capable. And the curved partial cutaway makes for easy playing where you can jam without being worried about your fingernails hitting the sound board. If you can afford it, this is well worth it. The wait for an ukulele from Dasilva himself can be many many months. Personally I waited nearly a year for mine, but it was worth it.
