    Flimsier than I like
I've got one of these cases that came with my Kala U-Bass. In the few years I've owned it:
    > The cover on the back has been peeling off & won't stay glued on
    > Several of the screws that hold on the handle have come off and won't stay in again
    > One of the sections that hold the clips for the strap has been peeling away
    > The strap that holds down the instrument inside has split away
    > Some of the inside lining has peeled away from the side
    > The zipper pulls have both come off repeatedly
I would NOT recommend these cases to anyone, frankly.

    better than the gig bag
Bought this case as a uke pkg. Light in weight yet a better protection than the thin gig bag. The only thing I don't like is the outer zipper pocket is facing downward instead up or towards the headstock.

    it works
I own 3 of these and 3 differant brands of ukes ,not one fits well ,I have put polish clothes to tighten the fit . the velcro straps inside are a sloppy fit. 2 of the humidifier covers are coming loose. one has the padding pulling away from case. Bottom line is I bought the ukuleles not the case and it does protect.

    Solid Case Option
I've only had this case for a couple of months, but so far it seems like a solid option, especially for the price. I like the protection of a hard case rather than a gig bag, especially now that I have a nicer ukulele that I want to keep as nice as possible. While the outside pocket isn't big enough to hold a uke song book, it is still large enough to hold a tuner and a couple other small items. I also like that it comes with a strap so you can carry it on your shoulder if you need to.

I'm sure there are more premium options out there that might offer even more protection or might look nicer, but for me, this case fit my needs.

    Tough Case
I have a number of these cases. I have never had a problem with durability.
Several of my cases are real workhorses. They travel with me 2 or 3 days each week, for several years now, and so far I don't have any complaints. They have held up beautifully. I love having the outside zipper pocket, and the choice of carrying my ukes by the handle, or by strap, whether over the shoulder or like a back pack.

    Good case
We've had 3 of these uke crazy cases for concert, tenor & baritone sized ukes. They are sturdy with good storage compartments for strings & books. The lining in my tenor case has come off a little after 1 year, but that's the only trouble I've had.

Nice Layout and Fit - Durability an Issue
I've had this case about a year. The inside is very nice. I like the storage pocket. Lining and padding are great. I have been disappointed in the durability. After a year of almost daily handling and transporting (I take my uke to work most days) the cover has started to separate from the Styrofoam on the lid and many of the seams are coming apart. I would not recommend this for heavy use.

Good Buy but not a wise choice for the long haul.
I have three of these cases, one for a Baritone that doesn't get much play, and the others for my main ukes, a concert and a tenor. While they offer good protection and lightweight at a great price, I don't think they hold up well in the long term.
One case is from 2006, and has been heavily used for about 2 years. The seams around the bottom are separating, and the velcro strap inside is falling apart. While a traditional case showing signs of wear might take on a cool patina, exposed styrofoam is not too sexy.
The other is slightly older, and hasn't seen as much use, but the fabric is ill fitting, as if the foam has contracted, and it too looks a little dumpy.
The newer baritone case is fine, for now.
All three have served me well and work fine, but at least two will need replacing soon.
They are also quite a bit bulkier than traditional cases, and if both zippers are not fully unzipped each time the uke comes out, the zippers will fail.

    Good entry level case
I currently own this case. I store my Kanile's KT1 in it, the case is sturdy enough to take your instrument out with you but I would not want to send it out on a airplane in it.
The only down side I found was that it didn't have space for a standerd clip on tuner.

Great Option to Protect Your Tenor
Bought the UkeCrazy hardshell case with my Pono AT Tenor. Perfect size! Great protection seems to be well made well. Glad I bought this one instead of the bulkier travel or Oahu hardshell cases. Nice inside storage area. The outside zipped area won't fit a music book. I use it to store my folded music sheets. Zippers are decent but could be a bit better quality. Not a fan of the velcro flap which unfortunately fits between the handle. Not a big deal though. Highly recommend this case! Great value for the price.

    Great For My Beginner Ukulele
I have been playing the Kala KA-C concert ukulele for about four months and have had this case the whole time. The case is a great size for my uke. The inside compartment is a good size for a turner.

I have a year old kid and a cat that have done their best to destroy the case and it's held up pretty good though I wouldn't want an expensive uke in it. I've had water and juice spilled on the front and it hasn't leaked through. The hinges have held up well even with a 20+ pound kid trying to break them. The cat has scratched at the inside and it seems like the foam isn't attached as well as it could be to the side in one place.

One thing that I don't like is that the front pocket isn't big enough to hold a typical sized music book unless you curl the pages a bit.

The 'uke crazy' canvas case gives great protection, zips easily has velcro straps to stop movement within and extra pockets for other odds and ends...what more do you need?

Oh wait, there are also two carry straps AND a velcro flap over the front for security and added functionality.

    Good for minimal travelers.
It's a good case if you're looking for something to have around the house or minimal transportation.

If you're looking for something to use for hardcore gigging or busking, go for the full hard shell. This case comes apart at the seams pretty easily. The straps come out of the foam core, the canvas comes off of it as well, the rivets are really just pressed into the body, and it's generally just not incredibly durable if you need to use it a lot.

However, for the price, it's a pretty decent piece of equipment.

    Good for minimal travelers.
If you're looking for a case that will protect your uke pretty well and you don't do very much traveling with your uke, this is a great, affordable option.

The downsides to it are that the case itself is pretty flimsily assembled. Rivets fall out of the foam that they basically pressed into, the straps inside fall off easily, and the canvas comes off of the foam shell easily. So if you're looking to go busking, or just taking it around to gigs, this is probably not the case for you.

    Great case for the price
As a new uke player, I've been searching the web for all sorts of info and deals on cases. I originally bought a traditional guitar-style hard-shell case from another company because the pics of this case seemed to indicate it wouldn't be very sturdy. Also the shape didn't appeal to me much as it seemed more suitable for a violin. But after receiving this case I quickly returned the other.

I was really surprised by how incredibly light weight it is. I'd expect that something this light would be pretty flimsy. But it's stiff foam and nylon construction seems durable enough for my needs. As I'm not piling heavier guitar cases or gear on it in the car or for travel, I don't really have to worry about crushing it. The canvas cover is plenty durable and the exterior accessory pocket is large enough to hold a copy of Sakuma's Treasury Of Ukelele Chords Book. There's plenty of room in the interior storage compartment for misc tuners, stings, humidifiers, etc.

The straps are a big plus for slinging it over the shoulder or across my back, leaving my hands free for a guitar and music stand, or amp.

Originally I found the zipper flap at the handle a bit annoying, but I found it's actually a plus in that I often put the instrument in the case for short periods of time while I'm playing or working on something. The velcro helps seal it and keeps me from dumping the uke out if I pick it for some reason.

Also, while the neck straps help keep the uke in place and the plush interior protects it well, its not a snug fit for my tenor. Nevertheless, it's not going anywhere or getting banged around inside.

All in all, its a great case for the price and it fits my needs nicely.

light and well made uke case
This is about the best way to get a case that is light weight with hardcase protection. I've been very pleased with the construction quality and design. The only minor problem I have is with the velcro latch that holds the neck in place. It's a bit of a hassle to unlatch it with one hand while holding the uke in the other. It would help if the latch had a different color than the black interior and/or a way to keep it open while the uke is out of the case.

    functional, some flaws though
Overall, this case works fine. It protects my Ukulele and makes travel much easier. What I don't like about it: I received the free humidifier along with the solid wood ukulele I bought, but there is no real good place to put it in this case. I ended up laying it on its side by the neck. Also, I have a standard sized snark clip on tuner which wont fit in the box area under the neck without making it impossible to close and lifting the Ukulele off of the central support in the case. Kind of annoying, but it's a small instrument and a small case so maybe that just comes with the territory. I think the worst part about this case though is the quality of the zippers. Upon arrival the zippers will not stay in alignment properly and I have a feeling they may not last long, but they work for now......

    Best case for airline travel
I am lucky to have several ukulels's. And i like to take one with me when i travel. And this is the case that i put them in to keep them safe. There is nothing worse than putting your expensive prized ukulele in the overhead, and then watch in horror as another airline passenger decides to cram his carry-on in the same small space that is already occupied by your uke in the ovrhead bin. And these other passengers seem to try to do it when you aren't looking or with such haste that you don't have time to prevent the mayhem. But it will be ok, because these cases protect your baby. Plus they come with a shoulder strap that works great to put it on your back so your hands are free, and your uke safe, when you need to get to the plane.

Agree with others...this is a good case for the price
Ordered this for my Soprano Luna Pineapple. The inside shape is the traditional ukulele shape but the pineapple fits in perfectly. Inside case is about 22 inches long - a good size as my other Soprano ukes (Flea, Dolphin, and Eleuke Peanut) all fit in perfectly. Inside "pocket" is good for picks or extra strings but my Snark tuner doesn't quite fit - unable to close the pocket completely with the tuner in place. Outside pocket a good size. All zippers are good quality and slide easily. The long strap is very handy, making it easy to carry over the shoulder. And love the "Uke Crazy" writing on the case flap - good description of so many of us!

    Good value & design.
I have this case in both the Tenor and Baritone size. They are essentially the same except for the length, both are hard shell (foam) with cloth exterior & exactly as pictured on the product page. Very good protection and light in weight.

They have a full length double-pull zipper, and a flap with Velcro closure under the handle. I just use the Velcro flap when I don't need the extra security of the zipper.
There are two sets of D-rings for attaching straps, either on the same edge as the handle or on the back side. Two adjustable straps are included. The outside pocket has a single pull zipper that opens along the top and bottom. This pocket is about an inch high and not quite rectangular. Tenor pocket can hold an 8.5x11 inch note pad with no bending, Baritone pocket is slightly larger and can hold an 8.5x14 inch note pad without bending.

The interior has a Velcro strap to secure the neck of the Uke. Both sizes have a small pocket under the neck area. Tenor: interior length is just under 28 inches, pocket 1.5" deep, 5.25" long, 7" at the edge toward the uke body and 5.5" at the edge near the head. Baritone: interior length is 30.5" inches, pocket 1.5" deep, 6.75" long, 7.75" at the edge toward the uke body and 5.25" at the edge near the head.

    Gets the job done!
I ordered two of these cases (Tenor and Concert sizes)prior to leaving the country, and I am satisfied. They provide support and protection for my ukuleles. There are a couple of areas that I would prefer to be improved upon: the zipper, interior compartment and the straps.

1.The zipper works well around the actual case but as for the one which encloses the exterior pocket, I've noticed one thing: if you zip it too fast, the teeth won't grab and you'll find yourself redoing it.
2.The interior compartment is perfectly placed to store extra strings or straps, but the lid is flimsy.
3.In regards to the straps, I would prefer them to be thicker and sturdier. Small complaints, but what do you expect for the price.

This is an excellent choice to protect your ukulele, but just remember, if you want a custom fit to your instrument, spend the extra money to get a custom case. If you don't mind, this will work perfectly. I will be upgrading soon for my Pono Acacia Tenor.

I have the UkeCrazy hard shell case for each of the three ukuleles that I own. It came as a package deal with one of the ukuleles I ordered from HMS and I liked it so much that I ordered the case for each of the other two ukuleles. The case is very light weight, however it is more than strong enough to protect the instrument if it accidentally gets banged about or dropped while in the case. Also, the storage compartment inside the case is great for storing extra string sets, a tuner and other accessories. My only complain, and it isn't really that big of a deal, is that the handles on the zippers often get misaligned in the top of the zipper and need to be fiddled with in order to zip up the case.

I have owned this case for the past 6 months. It provides adequate protection to transporting my mid-grade uke to local gigs. Within 2 weeks of use, the screws/rivets securing the cover around the handle became loose. I was able to slightly reposition and reattach, and so far the fix has held. I would not trust this case for transporting expensive ukes on airlines. A good case for beginners, and great bang for the buck.

great value for a uke case
I have two of these, because I just couldn't find a good case that I felt would protect my ukes. I was looking for a hard case for extreme protection, but they seemed too heavy, and I tend to carry my uke around pretty frequently for jam sessions. I didn't want to store my ukes in a soft gig bag, so the next best thing was this case by Uke Crazy. I love how it's very lightweight which makes it easy to carry yet it's "semi-hard" which makes me feel that the uke is protected. I like how there's an outer pocket, and an inner pocket for storage.

I guess I can slap on some stickers or something, but if only they can spice these cases up with some different designs/colors so I know which uke is in which case! Not to mention that I have friends with the same case so it's difficult to tell who owns which case!
