Product Review (submitted on December 31, 2012):
I was this close to buying this Cordoba Tenor. First, the look of this Cordoba is gorgeous - the warm tone of the wood, and details around the sound hole.. it's flawless. And the price is so reasonable for this kind of materials and details. It sounds warm, and it plays comfortably for a beginner uke player like me. I tried playing this tenor at a guitar center, and best buy -- but I think The Ukulele Site setup would make the world of difference for the sound of this uke. It really wasn't worth it to buy it anywhere else.
I ended up spending a few extra $$ to buy a Pono Tenor MT... I compared the Pono & Cordoba tenor for about a month to test out the sound... Over time, I noticed Pono had a richer tone, and Cordoba tenor ended up sounding a tad bit shallow. I ended up going with a Pono, but if I didn't compare, I probably would be happy with a Cordoba.
I just love the gorgeous travel case that Cordoba tenor comes in, so I bought just the case! It's light-weight, thick padded, has a convenient pocket outside. Perfect for traveling!
