Kamaka HF-3L Tenor Long Neck 100 yr Anniversary (S#162119)

Two inches more than a tenor and one inch less than a baritone scale, the HF-3L has a super sweet bell-like sustain. The extra length really puts a bite that sparks the energy of this instrument. Pictures show the one!

Be sure to play this version if you think you're set on the regular neck. 0 people found this helpfulThis is a fantastic Kamaka, I preferred the tone of the longneck version compared to the regular HF-3. Kamaka's fit and finish isn't quite on par with some of the other K brands, but the old world feel and soul is there in spades.

Love Note 0 people found this helpfulThe Kamaka tenor long neck is a wonderful instrument. The additional 2" of neck brightens the traditional tone, easily accommodates lower tuning options and takes ease of playability to a new level. The playing experience is further enhanced by the flawless HMS setup (I honestly believe that the HMS setup guys could make an old piece of 2x4 stung with fishing line sound good)...correct string height and no fret buzz! The HMS purchase experience is amazing as well - They make you feel comfortable and cared-for even though you live thousands of miles away and you've never set foot in their store. It's like buying a uke from a friend. Mahalo, HMS!!

Great instrument 0 people found this helpfulI am a big fan of the Kamaka long neck tenor. The clarity, sustain and resonance are better than most tenors with the l7 inch necks which seem a bit woofy and muffled in comparison. The Kamaka reputation is well deserved and these Hawaiian made koa ukes have simple elegance and beautiful classical sound that is unique. You can play this instrument soft or loud and it still sounds good and my most recent purchase has the LR Baggs which sounds terrific.
