Great, but top heavy 0 people found this helpfulA great ukulele - however, the sealed tuners Kala use are too heavy and unbalance the ukulele a little. I replaced with Gotoh UPTs and the instrument is massively better now - balanced, playable and incredibly lightweight.

Awesome travel size and sound! 0 people found this helpfulI wanted an uke that I could carry around with me so I could practice while waiting for my kids during their sport activities and this was it. Great sound and size. The most important thing about buying from the ukulelesite is the low action set up they do, you can play and practice for a very long time because you don't get sore fingers from the strings. I would recommend changing out the Aquila strings as well. I switched to PHD strings and it made a differnce on my fingers.

Thin body...Amazingly loud and bright sound. Highly recommended! 0 people found this helpfulI have been using this uke for almost 2 months now and it never ceases to amaze me. Kala did a great job crafting the instrument-ultra thin but loud, bright and happy sound. I believe it sounded better than my other two Kalas-a soprano and a concert. I have no complaints. Perfect for beginners and intermediate ukuleleists. I am planning to buy another one...before supply runs out.

Overall great purchase 0 people found this helpfulThis is a nice little uke. Bright, loud sound for such a small body. Intonation is better than some comparably priced instruments, but not amazing. But for the price, I'm pretty happy with it.

Lovely sound, great volume 0 people found this helpfulThis is a great uke. I've had mine for a week and I'm in love with the sound. GReat uke for the price. I compared it to a few in the $250-300+ range and it sounds as good if not better (to me) than a lot of others with fancier wood and full depth body.
