Pono ATD - Acacia Tenor Deluxe

Quarter Sawn Solid Acacia Wood -Gloss Finish

This is a pro level Tenor ukulele. It has richness in the sounds and sustains wonderfully. You can play it with dynamics and it can work with any style of music. Perfect for a low G to get that nice deep sound. Or with a high G, giving clarity and brighter overtones. This beautiful solid wood tenor ukulele has it all! A refined classic style, glossy exotic woods, and a beautiful voice hitting all the right frequencies. The ATD is an excellent value on a professional quality tenor ukulele. It has less flash than some of the other models, but the wood is gorgeous and the tone is very warm and sweet. We are sure you will agree!

A key feature in all of the Pono tenor and baritone models is the dual-action adjustable truss rod. This is used to stabilize and adjust the lengthwise forward curvature (also called relief), of the neck. It can be adjusted from right inside the soundhole with an allen wrench provided. This is something you will probably not need to adjust. But over time and with humidity changes, it is a very useful option to have, and a very easy thing to adjust with little room for error.

Acacia is a family of trees that Hawaiian Koa belongs to. This is not Hawaiian Koa but comes from a very similiar species found throughout Asia. This instrument was built on one of the Indonesian Islands with hands on guidance and quality control from the Ko'olau Ukulele Company. These are constructed by the finest instrument makers and to Ko'olau specs and design. This Gloss finish and woods used on this model are only the finest. And, we are happy to hear the impressive tonal character! *This is a great value*

We always include a humidifier with solid wood instruments. This is not an option, and we do not charge for it.

Extra Options

One of the options for this ukulele is to trade out the Herco, included humidifier, for the more expensive Oasis Ukulele Humidifier (OH-18). This is suggested if you live in a low humidity area.(parts of California, Nevada, Arizona, etc..) including cold winter areas if you are heating the air most of the day and night. For more info see our Ukulele Care link at the bottom of the site

With the purchase of this ukulele, the Pono passive pickup system can be installed.

None of these options are required. You can still create a package with accessories on the site by going to different product pages and adding to cart. This ukulele will automatically come with a Herco HE-360 Humidifier. The options are just for convenience and to offer an extra discount while you buy this instrument.

Put a note in the special instructions if you want it strung with a low G at no extra charge or any specific setup instructions(i.e. string for left-handed, I play light and like very low action etc....)

Aloha
