Pono Ukulele is a branch of Ko'olau Ukulele. They are producing the top-notch ukes between 3 to 600 and they keep getting better! This is the Brand New Acacia Series from Pono. They kick it off with a killer little soprano. Beautiful to look at, and the tone is deep, warm and open. Much more full than I had expected from this wood. Acacia is a family of trees that Hawaiian Koa belongs to. This is not Hawaiian Koa but comes from a very similar species found throughout Asia. This instrument was built on one of the Indonesian Islands with hands on guidance and quality control from the Ko'olau Ukulele Company. These are constructed by the finest instrument makers and to Ko'olau specs and design. They are Really Good!! This soprano looks and sounds superb! The tuning keys are very high quality, the nut and saddle are bone, and the gloss is thin so the top can breathe. They made this one just right!

Ko’olau now only include their hard case with the Pro-Classic Pono series. You can still have that package with their Oahu case. You can trim down the price with the UkeCrazy hard case. Also, the Cordoba gig bags are so nice we started buying them separate. So any of these three are options. Just contact us with any difficulties purchasing or deciding. These add no shipping - Add On Packages- good value case/accessory packs!

We always include a humidifier with solid wood instruments. This is not an option, and we do not charge for it.
