Koolau T1- Hawaiian Ash Tenor Ukulele

Koolau is a custom shop right down the road that makes some of the world’s finest ukes. This is Koolau's most affordable offering for a tenor, and yet it is one of the nicest tenors to stroll through. This is a model we could only dream of always having in stock, but we do take custom orders for Ko'olau and the turn around is usually 2 weeks to 2 months for this model because we always have it on order.

This is available for order in two different Hawaiian woods. Koa and Ash.

Hawaiian Ash

This rare Big Island wood sounds like an old and mellowed mahogany wood. But the ringing sustain in the higher frequencies makes it sound entirely unique. And Beautiful! This particular Ash is "the cream of the crop". The curls will darken with time as it is exposed to light and be accentuated even more. It sounds superb now,  I can't even imagine how great the tone will be in 5 years! This is what I would call a wise investment. (Into your musical enjoyment, and into a Professional Hawaiian ukulele that will last many generations.

T1- Koa

The Koa T1 is a no frills tenor that plays and sounds just right. Excellent balance of tones all the way up the neck. Great sustain and a feel that is as good as you will find. The third ukulele here is the Koa T1 w/ a figured wood upgrade-

At no charge we can set your Ko'olau up with a Low G, or alternate set of strings!

The meticulous work that Ko’olau is known for is apparent in this more affordable line from them. The look, tone, and feel is everything you need to take your playing to the next level! Includes a Ko’olau hardshell case – value of $96
