The KoAloha concert Pikake is the same as the KCM-00 but with a stain finish. It also has the more modest straight cut off on the fretboard rather than ending in the KoAloha 5 point crown. The KoAloha satin is still a nitrocellulose sprayed finish but the final coats are sprayed satin. This is less reflective and has a woody look and smooth feel many have come to prefer. You will notice these Pikake models have a very clean and professional look. KoAloha has been perfecting their satin finish for the past 15 years and it shows. On top of that, they are consistently using beautiful koa and giving the world instruments that sound amazing! In what way do they sound amazing? KoAloha's have a full presence and excellent volume or projection. The KoAloha voice is hard to deny. It is articulate when played soft and when played harder it grows in volume more and more.
