This is not a factory made product. It comes from the rare phenomenon of exotic Hawaiian koa wood in the hands of the best stringed instrument makers from our island.

Ku'uipo - Hawaiian for sweetheart.

This ukulele is made with the world's finest curly koa and is glossed with Kanilea's perfected UV finish. The heart shaped sound hole may slightly alter the tone because this ukulele is exceptionally full with resonance and sustain. Kanilea has a unique voicing that has become a favorite for many players of all styles. This is one of the best we have had the pleasure of playing. It is one of the first to Kanile'a instruments to feature their new tuning keys that they recently completed design on. These are patterned after Waverly tuning keys that can cost almost $200 for one set. These new machines heads have better quality bushings than the Grovers and are a higher gear ratio (18:1). AND they are half the weight of a set of Grovers. Very cool! As you can see this is a special instrument. Even without the romance it has the love and Aloha you only find in the best of Hawaiian makers. There will always be Diamonds at half off of double the price. Options	This beautiful concert ukulele comes with a deluxe wooden Oahu Case: [Pic 1 Oahu Hard Case, Pic 2 Oahu Hard Case] Custom Options You can have a Kanile'a pickup installed. This is routed and installed at the Kanile'a factory to fit absoultely perfect. This is a little more expensive than the installs we do ourselves and can add up to a week to the delivery. But if you want a pickup it is best to have Kanile'a install it. Kanile'a makes an active and a passive system. You can also get the MiSi with it's rechargeable preamp,  or the new L.R. Baggs 5.0 ukulele pickup. Extra Options The Herco HE360, is the included humidifier. You can upgrade to the more expensive Oasis Ukulele Humidifier (OH-18). This is suggested if you live in a low humidity area.(parts of California, Nevada, Arizona, etc..) including cold winter areas if you are heating the air most of the day and night.
