Kala UBass

The Kala U-BASS is a ground breaking short scale (20″ scale) bass that produces the same pitches as a standard bass instrument and is tuned in traditional bass tuning, EADG. The U-BASS is strung with proprietary polyurethane strings that have a great feel, a balanced tension, and along with the Kala pickup give a pumpin' low end. There is little or no fret buzz, just solid bass tones that you can take to the stage, studio, and of course, every Ukulele Club needs a UBass!

You can do just about any style of music on the Kala U-Bass. Jazz, Funk, Hawaiian, Latin, and just about any other style under the sun. This instrument is amazingly fun! It is easy to play, and a great way to learn bass or have fun with a small bass. We caught this cool performance at NAMM 2011. If you would like to get a Hard Case it fits nicely into a baritone canvas covered hard case and you can add that for $38 instead of the normal $50- : [Pic 1 Canvas Hard Case, Pic 2 Canvas Hard Case] Extra Options We also include the Herco HE-360 humidifier but you have an options when buying is to trade out the Herco for the more expensive Oasis Ukulele Humidifier (OH-18). This is suggested if you live in a low humidity area.(parts of California, Nevada, Arizona, etc..) including cold winter areas if you are heating the air most of the day and night.
